Hi everyone,

Been following the threads on this site since buying my 2000 Freelander TD4 (98k) in January and have 1. found them very useful and 2. been scared witless about what will be going wrong with my motor over the coming months.

Anyway I look forward to chatting with you in future.

To date I have had the track rod ends replaced (they were different sizes)! I have a weird pulsing hum when driving, however I looked on this site and solved this immediately (turned the radio up) and the acceleration is jumpy at 2k revs ish.

Going to initially clean the EGR etc with the view to blanking off and replace all of the filters.

I appreciate this is probably not the right place but if any of you have ideas about how I can make it to the magic 100k mark they would be greatly received.

cheers

First of all :welcome2: to the asylum!! :D:D:D
Secondly, you want to know how to make the 'magic 100k mark'?

How far have you pushed it so far? :)

Has anything dropped off it yet? Do you have an ample supply of gaffer tape to stick the bits back on when they do drop off?

Have you been out in the rain yet? Are you a hairdresser, as the 'pulsing hum' will probably be the hairdryer that you forgot to unplug!

Enjoy your stay!

:welcome2: To the nuthouse be prepared for some light hearted banter about your choice of Landy from the Defender and Discovery fraternity. GSOH always welcomed and useful.
