Going to do the rust proofing etc need a tool....

Ok I've decided to do the chassis etc and will be ordering a large pack containing

5 x Dinitrol 4941 (compressor applied)
4 x Dinitrol 447 (compressor applied) [stone chip paint]
4 x Dinitrol "ML" aerosol penetrator wax
2.5L of Aqua steel which is just a bulk version of the rust to hard metal milk stuff

Now this will allow me to do the entire chassis, insides of doors and wheel arches etc but....

What I would like to do is the insides of the chassis rails/outriggers etc using the Aqua steel and was wondering if there is a tool such as.

Image a compressor paraffin gun like this:

But with the ability to attach a long hose to the end with a nozzle on the end of the hose which has holes going in all directions. This would allow me to do the inside of the rails via the holes at each end.

Also does this lot seem like a good plan? Costs about £160 in total but there is a lot and I get the stone chip in the arches too.

Yeah I made one to use with a Schultz gun. It was about 30cm long with a nail in the end then a couple of holes poked along the tube. I used washer tube iirc.

you will have to experiment with the length of tube, to long and it messes up the airflow dynamics somehow and it won't spray and just explodes the bottle. Took me a while but I got there in the end!

A while ago a lot of people were singing the praises of this
Sealey SG18 - Air Operated Wax Injector Kit --- CCW-Tools - Automotive Tools & Equipment.
The advantage is that it uses the air pressure to force the contents out through the nozzle rather than just using the Venturi effect to pull it up. So it's good for the thick viscous stuff. It's also got some long tubes you can get inside the box sections. You can also fill it with Gunk and make a Gunk pressure washer.

You might be better off just putting the Dinitrol in. The AquaSteel instructions say to remove the surface flaky rust before applying. Inside the rails and outriggers you won't be able to do this easily.

I protected my Defender in a similar way you are intending just a different manufacturer for the products.
I applied all with one of these Sealey Underbody Coating Gun Air Operated | Tools Today. I did extend the length of the pipe supplied when doing the inside of the chassis and bulkhead, I just replaced the pipe using the fitting and the nozzle supplied. You will have to purchase a Schultz type container to transfer your products into. I did it by purchasing a container with very cheap under seal in it and disposing of the under seal then using the container.

I have been using one of them for years now, pretty good tool and certainly worth the money.

I have one of these and it's very good - did the Td5 and the Freelander with ease. Do it in summer when all's warm - you may even want to warm the tin of waxoyl or whatever. I thinned my waxoyl with 20% white spirit and it went on a treat. Wear a hat or you'll be washing thick crap out of your hair for days afterwards....

Yes indeed. I was impressed by how much went up my nose and in my ears. It looks impressive when you spray Dinitrol thin and runny into the box sections and you get a kind of Dinitrol steam coming out of all the holes. Makes you feel like you're doing some good.

My only criticism of the Sealy gun is that with a quick release air connector on the inlet it won't stand up by itself when you let go of it, because the air connector is a bit long. Otherwise a good investment.

Great tool. I used to borrow a very expensive gun from a friend for this kind of work. I got one of these and it works just as well. Getting the product you are using to the correct consistency is key though no matter what gun you use. I prefer to thin it down with spirit. Always wear a good quality, well fitted face mask when spraying. It's not wise to be breathing anything like this in.

when i did my dinitrol i put the cans in hot water to make it a bit thinner and easier to spray but tbh dinitrol is pretty good anyway
