Right guys, The end of next week im taking the disco on a bit of an adventure to Preston.
This is about 230 miles each way, to pick up a horse trailer for SWMBO.
So what do i need to check/Do before hand
Also what do i need to take with me

Cheers

earplugs, if she is going with you..................................

Apart from that, plug the nanocom in and leave it on coolant temp. Before you go, Check all fluids, take a few fluids with you.
Tyre pressures etc. Munchies...................lots of munchies and some more fluids..to drink

Cheers

Correct number plate for the box, check there is a spare wheel for the box.
Check all electrics on the disco work and the ones on the box when you get there.
Tyre pressures on both.

Preston! Take a big stick, and couple of tear gas grenades! :D

And pump up the rear tyres for towing on the motorway. D1 you want about 40 rears, 30 fronts. D2 maybe even more, 44 in the rears is fine for towing.

will have to get a new pressure guage as mines decided to give up

Makes a good check to see if it is running at the right temp , Should sit at 89 / 90 ish. iirc mine peaks at 93 on a good run at speed.

Cheers

A notepad and a couple of sharp pencils .... so that you can accurately recount your (mis)adventures on LZ when you eventually return :D
i did try and hire a pick up or van with a tow bar, but only found one place, and he wanted a £1000.00 deposito_O
But i will record my finding and let you know,
That reminds me, save LZIR link to my phone

Just gotta find a live now to power it

When you do install it, treat the power wiring and the aerial as two separate circuits.
I've heard of no end of people having trouble when the tried to use the ground of the aerial (the woven braid) as the ground for power too. Left to me I'd take both positive 12 volts and negative straight back to the battery, with a suitable inline fuse as close to the battery as possible.
