Going bad to worse steering box

I have put on a refurbed steering box on to find the pit man arm thread is goosed ( 26mm dia ) what do people think I should do take it back off and send it back get it retreaded or weld it in place

If received faulty, send it back

If you screwed it up, whip it out and get an engineering shop to dress or recut the threads

I wouldnt weld it, the heat will probably bugger the seals at the very least

It's out and new one oneway there excuse is they powder coat all the box
