Did this fault start after the injector refurbishment?Had all my injectors done about 2months ago
Was the fault there before the injectors were done?No it's only wen I start car 1st thing and it's fine all day can leave it a go 4/5hrs and would start on 1sr turn
If it's cranking over, then it's not the battery.Am starting to think it's the battery?
Codes in the engine EDC (ECU).What do u mean about get codes read the 1s on the injectors or in the ECU
So it smoked on starting, even before the injectors were done?b4 still smoke on start up but not all the time only wen it's cold it is worse
On my 2002 Td4 there is a relay for the glow plugs in the Lshaped ecu box
Had injectors done coz 2 wasn't working so got them all doneCodes in the engine EDC (ECU).
So it smoked on starting, even before the injectors were done?
Why did you have the injectors refurbished?
The TD4 don't normally need the glow plugs for it to start, unless the engine is below about 5°C. However the EDC will power the plugs before starting if the engine is below 15°C, just to keep it running cleanly.
Really you need to check the glow plugs are getting battery voltage if the engine is below 15°C, and only plugging in a diagnostic reader will tell you the engine temperature, as that's available on the live data.
Also check the glow plug fuse is intact.
So thare must b a temp sensor sumware on engine that it reads the temp of engine I might sound anit dumb
