Thought id post an update on the broken glow plug post from earlier in December.
Mobile mechanic chap drilled out the broken plugs cost £270.00 tip of one plug still stuck. He said drive around and it will eventually pop out. Came on here and searched to make sure he wasn't telling porkies and found some threads that backed him up. 3 new plugs fitted and cleaned all the gunk out of the inlet manifold and fitted EGR blanker, she starts better than she has in months. Just driven down to Devon M4 / M5 No smoke and nippier than its ever been. Running the best it has since I bought it.
Don't post a lot but read tons on here, some great info and no how Cheers All

I don't see how replacement plugs makes it run better once it's warmed up, but the broken tip might or might not be ejected at some point.
Glad it's working again though, and thanks for letting us know the outcome.

Hi Nodge, I think the better running and lack of smoke is down to cleaning out the inlet manifold. I don't think it had ever been done 2 of the round ports were that clogged up they had closed up to the size of a polo mint.
