:biggrin1: Hi all.
Need to change the glow plugs on my Rangie but looking at the book it says remove inlet manifold and high pressure fuel pipes.

Is this the only way????
Did a search on here and cant find anything anywhere.

Help/advice/taking of **** all welcome:rolleyes:

Never done the glow plugs myself, my specialist did mine last time but I believe it is possible to do them without removing the high pressure pipes or the inlet manifold. Im sure that I have read about other on here doing it that way.

Personally if I was going to do them I would have the inlet manifold off and then do them. I would also do the leak off pipes at the same time once I had got that far.

you can do it without removing the high pressure fuel pipes , its a bit fiddley, magentize the socket! should take 90mins or so inc leak off pipes, the manifold is easy to unbolt.

I changed my glow plugs last saturday,i took the inlet manifold off.....its an easy job, you will need one of those long magnet things though (i kept dropping bits). i got bosch glow plugs from my local motor factor for £3 each, the whole job took just over an hour, it was well worth doing as my p38 starts mega quick.
