thought of joining these guys?

North Somerset Land Rover Club

we go out once a month on greenlane trips around the south/southwest and wales. great bunch of guys. its only £10/year and you get 12 navigation free all day green lane trips!

and dont be fooled into thinking it will be suitable for gaylanders cos its not! we go on some pretty abusive terrain. runs every 2nd sunday of the month. check the calender and see what you think. usually meet at 9am and finish around 4.30-6pm depending on problems, route, weather, lostness etc :)

july trip will be awesome, the fosse way is pretty challenging in some places

yer, enough time to send your cheque and get registered :) there was a trip today but i didnt go to that one. will deff be doing the july run though. maybe even leading a group for the 1st time! ive got memorymap on a pocket pc with GPS. great for green laning :) should be quite a few of us too...

groups are limited to 6. usually 2 groups, maybe 3 if there are enough people to lead.

Okay sounds great, So your all good guys and if i make a fool of myself and get stuck you will help me out?? Im only 21 with lack of experiance! I did alot of grrenlaneing last year and went to foxham and i was ok and i have a better landy now! the green one below! where do you meet??

ofcoarse we will help you out! dont worry about experience, that only comes from getting stuck! helps loads to be out with experienced guys too. ive learnt alot from the club outings. im only 24 and had my landy 12months!

foxham is ok, minety is better. better structure to the coarse. meeting places are decided before each run and members on that run will be informed via email. if its in wales for example, we all meet at magor services. sometime leigh delamere on the M4 etc etc. you will need to let the club know your interested in the july run so that they can get numbers. dont worry too much until you have joined. email them too as sometimes they are a bit slow with new member applications!

you use them to bridge gaps or gain traction/spread weight. place them under the wheels and drive over them basically ;) can also be used to reduce the angle of a steep slope.
