Gloria my V8 90 has sold!!

Today is a very sad day but also a happy one. After a year SORN due to too many other projects and much **** going on in my life I have sold Gloria.

An out and out landrover enthusiast and V8 nut has bought her so she is going to a home where she will be cherished as I have done.

So long Gloria and have a happy new life.

I'm happy and sad because just driving her out of the storage and listening the that exhaust note and how smooth she is to drive made me doubt what I was doing. Boo Hoo!

That she is!

The person who has bought her will make her even better I'm sure and I just didn't have the money to do the best with her.

I'm certain she will turn up at the shows so I can keep an eye on what he does to her.

Best first Land Rover ever and just driving her today reminded me of that.

And, I made a little profit so all good plus I can put the new clutch in and finish Snow White now.

I didn't let the auction run to the end and there were some crazy offers of more money than I eventually agreed on but these were from dreamers who had not even viewed her so you know their gonna turn up and say "Oh, I thought she was newer" or something equally stupid. :doh:

She has gone to genuine guy who is a 30+ year mechanic who looked at her today.

I reckon he will keep for a very long time as he has a rather special RS2000 :5bdrool5: that he's had from brand new.

i have that feeling of selling one of me own,
when selling on trusted motors over the years.

if i sat and counted them all, it would sadden me i guess.

mans affection for his horse over the years turns into his horsepower of present day i guess.
