My Range is running real bad at the moment. Starts ok but i think it is missing a bit. Then when you drive it at one time it feels ok, then its seems to have no power. When it comes to hils it dont like them and i have a Q behind me. It is going in the garage on Tue but can anyone give me a heads up.
 
You tink thats all it might be it used to be just lumpy on start up and no before you ask it dont loose water. Now it is bad most of the time.
 
Only had the car for just over a year.Had a service just before i got it and wife dont do many miles a week. only gets a good run when i use it so prob only had about 5k put on it in the time we have had it. The mec who it is going to this week is a mate so wont rip me of and i want some othere bits done on it before i sell it.
 
ok will do thanks for your help. Soon be up for sale i am sure the next owner will be as pleased with it as i have been over the last year but wife wants something smaller.
 
Update My meck had the car today done a compression test and said he thinks that the head gaskets are fine as they passed the test. he said the car has a miss fire and thinks the best thing to do is start with a set of leads and plugs. i have ordered a set of leads a set of plugs and a fuel filter. Any one got any othere ideas.
 
Had a rough running/misfire/lack of power problem a couple of months ago. Changed the plugs, leads, coil pack, O2 sensors and eventually the MAF. Seemed to be a combination of all of them but the new MAF finally cured it.
 
can be multitude of things split pipe off air filter or air flow meter,coil pack,fuel pump (pressure low) crap in tank,or just one of the many pies has popped off,check all connectors on injectors,as i had a dodgy connection there and a quick clean on the contacts and away,make sure distributor cap is ok if it has one,and rotor arm is making good contact with shaft,not corroded.
or even a bad earth.
