Hi there

I was given a landrover 2 years ago, and i am just in the prosses of getting it back on the road, but i need to get a log book for it, can any 1 help me out on this..........

I dragged mine out of a field. No log book and coudn't read the chassis number either. There is a form the post office can give you, which I filled in with a letter explaining how I purchased the car and the fact that after 41 years the chassis number was unreadable, and six weeks later the log book turned up!

I think they write to the previous registered owner who verifies your story and then they OK it. Costs about £21 I think.

Hi

If you complete the form be very very careful that DVLA or who ever they are now don't put you on a dreaded Q Plate because some (most main) insurance Companies will not touch them.

Also You may have to go for a SVA test if DVLA aren't happy.
