I’ve started using genuine filters although l stopped short of the fuel filter which was over £60.
And it said on the box “made in China”
The other filters were fairly cheap and the genuine spin on oil filter is definitely better quality than aftermarket ones.

For the fuel filter l’ve used a Bosch one which should be OK and cost 1/4 the price of the OE.

Hello chaps, I think that the genuine one is bigger, although as mentioned above it is made in China, however the quality does look to be worth the money tbh, I got the full genuine service kit for 79.99
A lot of money or not?

Hi lightening I think if you take a Bosch fuel filter into Land Rover and compare the two filters you would pay the extra and buy the genuine, it looks much better made in the flesh! Although nothing wrong with (Mann or Bosch)

we sell the fuel filters for £53 inc VAT so if you got all genuine filters for £80 that’s pretty good

Sometimes. I use either Genuine or Mahle. We tend to use Mahle on all our vehicles and machinery.

Were all the filters in that set genuine? Quite often not all of them are.
Yes they are all genuine inc the sump plug washer, I went into my local Land Rover dealership and got the parts

That's a good price. Cost to us at trade for all genuine filters and sump plug washer is £74.86 inc VAT.
Thanks Tom, I’m pretty happy with that then really! The chap at Land Rover said the fuel filter will only need doing once a year

I was quoted £60 just for the fuel filter from Land Rover

which probably about right for a main dealer. I know it’s a pessimistic outlook but maybe they’re selling the filters someone else already paid for thinking they were getting a service

I’ve had that with Land Rover, Ford and Vauxhall in the last few years. One of them even had the cheek to try and say my wife’s back pads were worn, to which I emailed them a photo of them with a micrometer taken the day before!

I tipped the contents of my old filter into a clean container and the amount of crap that came out was incredible, so at least I know it’s doin g it’s job

Update after driving for a couple hundred miles my engine seems a touch quieter at idle with the new LR fuel filter
