Genuine Defender Battery

I got a genuine brand new Land Rover Defender Heavy Duty Battery (up to TD5) for a good price of £50.... part No STC 8271. The only downer is that it is a dry battery and it needed 6 litres of acid plus a 24 hour charge once it cooled down.... works perfectly as you would expect.
If you have a contact for the acid it would help.... cost me £27 If you live nearby its a steal... its £168 at Rimmer Brothers

were the batts at the show? I saw them at the Sw show last year, the chap had pallet loads!

Hobsons is where I got my replacement TD5 engine from.
Very knowledgable and professional peeps to do business with.
They do lots of work for the military and their forte is building the snatch Landrovers.
Its always worth dropping them a line as they have lots of odd spare parts laying around.
