General disco questions

Hi all new on here im wanting a land rover and think the disco is the one for me just a few questions
what is the difference between 200tdi and 300 tdi
also would be buying an M reg diesel how reliable are they and finaly when buying what should i look out for.

the 300 and 200 engines are both very good engines the 200 has a bit more low down grunt the 300 both have the same BHP and MPG the 300 has a better gearbox better dash and better head lights but the realy big thing for discos of that age is rust so be carfull check the sills from under the car the boot floor the rear body crossmember and the front wheel arches open the back doors and check around the door catch als check the gear box check the change gear ok some cruntch a bit when going from 1 to 2 lots do it and its not realy a problem but its nicer to drive if it dont do it and dont be put off if its done 150000+ miles these engines will go on for 250000 if looked after
