I have 2 Disco's for my sins. One is a 300tdi the other a 200tdi, my query is about the engine revs in 5th gear on the motorway. The 300 shows 2,500 at 65mph but the 200 shows 3,000 at 60mph (both on the same rolling circumferance tyres), I have checked the transfer box labels on both and they are showing 1.22. This leads me to thinking the 5th gear ratios are different between the LT77 and R380 box or do you think someone at some time has changed the diff ratios? I need the lower engine revs (economy) for long distance motorway work in the 200 as this will be used to tow my rally car and race car around the country. I stupidly gave the wife my 300 and have got no chance of ever getting it back off her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
