Hi All
Anyone know what sort of power the lt77 or r380 gearboxes can handle? thinking about a landrover range rover hybrid as me next project and was thinking bout a chevy V8 or something similar as you get a bit more power than the rover and parts are a hell of a lot cheaper. Cheers for any help.

Dan

The 380 is so called coz it can supposedly handly 380 nm of torque and it replaced the LT77 on grounds of strength, so presumably less!

i do but int picked it up yet, no i'm in mournin over the sad loss of me Krauty today - i was drivin round in a spankin audi ****tro and told doris i was gettin me landy and she could have the audi, which was only a year old and truly fantastic (not as fantastic as me landy but i thought she'd be happy coz it's comfy and nice and fast etc) and fair play, she did sell her golf when i got me landy but but she said the audi was too big and impractical and expensive (bloody wimmin sensible head - what;s all that about then?) so i traded the audi today for another golf TDI. ees so empty wivvout heem :( (although to be fair the golf is quite nice, but not a patch on me ****tro!) so am mourning the sad loss of me Krauty today

yeah - burrit aint a landy - is it ;)?
no, i agree and i still think the landy is the funnest and most exciting car i've ever owned, but i got the audi new and it were a speshul place in me heart for a while, so whilst i can see that what we done was by far the sensiblest option, it still makes me sad! :(
