gearbox

went to service my landrover defender 1996 300tdi yesterday and i counld not check the oil level in the gear box because it seems i need a special tool (not a 1/2inche socket like the other 200tdi) also is there a pump in which i can pump the atf in to the gearbox beacuse it seems i bit tight to get the oil bottle in

use a garden sprayer with an extended tube.

its a torx bit you will need then remove the rubber gaitor from the gearstick and us a funnel and a pipe to feed the oil down into the box-better with 2 people doing this

It'll be the same size as the hole in the drain plug

i know that, but i've got to buy one and i don't want to get the wrong size

i am sure its a t55
