gearbox

i have now pulled the gearbox out and found the center moves with grips also all springs loose !! pity as clutch looks nearly new apart from this bugger , i think the guy who put the new engine in as forced it on when its not lined up properly and this as caused the center to break free from its fixings thus the clutch not operating as it should ,so new clutch kit and should be up and running tomorrow crossed fingers

has it recently beem changed ?more like poor plate or shocks

yes had engine done about 6mths
do you think anything will have gone wrong with box as all gears selected as they should and there was slight drive in the t/box so it all bodes well i think mate

everything else should be allright just poor clutch unless its gets heavy use

yes im hoping as i have never seen this before in a landrover ?

i have now sorted my gearbox problem ,it needed a new clutch the center was loose on a positive note at least no new gearbox or t/box needed runs sweet now so many years or life left in the old girl !!! hopefully
i would advise anyone with a landrover any discription then ask on here first before you shell out on parts/and or a major strip down the fellas /girls on here have a font of knoledge of landrovers old and new
