Gearbox types

Can anybody tell me if the LT77 gearbox is the same in both Defender and Discovery.
I have a modified 90 with a 200TDI. The box has gone and i need to replace it.

they ant the same as the gearsticks in the wrong place on a disco gearbox ............. but you can get hold of a mod kit that overcomes this problem

int the input shaft longer on a disco?

but he says he got a 200 tdi already in place so a disco i assume gearbox should fit !!!!

swap the input shafts, and the bell housing and the gearchange unit and it will fit - that'll mean the shift stick isn't in the boot
