gearbox removal

can the gearbox be removed without taking out the engine . the slave cylinder is leaking (brake fluid leaking from bell housing)any ideas

so why remove g/box just do slave

very ****e ,apart from cheap and nasty they cost a lot and can be hard to bleed ,let alone work needed to change them
