Hi all,
Well today was the day I aquired my recon gearbox from Paddocks. Anybody who has visited Paddocks in person on a Saturday morning will know what I mean when I say "Organised Chaos". The queue of customers at the counter was endless, coupled with a chap from Belgium (I think) who was busy compiling a huge order one small item at a time, also a git who was behind me who reeked of garlic.
Anyway I finally managed to reach the counter, did the deal and its of home with said gearbox in the back of my mates Rangey.
Interesting point, not as I've got overdrive but theres a label on me new box that states that you shouldn't fit an overdrive as this will invalidate your warranty.
It's times like this when I realise just how lucky I am what with living within 8 miles of the place.

Regards WP:)

if i lived that close i sure wouldn't be welding up me petrol tank thats for sure or any of the other 'oh i can fix that' things, i'd just nip down and fill me car with bits

I know what you mean Slob.
All the Landy guys round here take it for granted, jump in the motor and fetch it. When I'm on the forum it makes me realise how lucky I am coz most folk (far n wide) have to organise carriage etc and if theres owt wrong its a nightmare, where I can just take it back in person. Weve got Paddocks 8 miles away, DLS 7 miles away and Anchor Supplies 5 miles away (great for UNF stuff and paint etc)

Regards WP

Let us know how the gearbox is once you've fitted it. I might be in the market for a new box soon and would like a review of the Paddocks ones! ie does it whine, crunch or feel in any way "not quite right"
