gearbox oil

been advised that comma sx75/90 will do gearbox,transfer box and diffs, on my 300tdi disco, done a quick search but cant confirm, i cautious as thinking one for all may not do,in case causes damage to parts, any thoughts, comma told my supplier it ok? quoted £19.00 per gallon.

its ok for tranny box and axles but i would use mtf94 in the gearbox

In my opinion the use of sx75-90 is wholely incorrect for the main gearbox - it is a GL4 oil which, on LR's is only suitable for transfer boxes and diffs.

The recommended oil is MTF 94 and you'll need 3 ltrs (2.3 plus a topup bit.) You can get it from LR or any 4x4 specialist or Texaco or from here:
