gearbox noise

Hello all you lovely landy nuts, my 2002 def 90 makes a clunk noise, as though it grabs when i change gear or if i start to go down hill and change gear- its driving me mad any ideas please

does it clunk when you pull away from standstill or change from 1st to 2nd also?

Have you checked the front and rear prop for excessive movement?

Worth getting underneath and seeing if you can rotate side to side with your hands as a simple check to eliminate

Yep what he says... check your u/j 's, one of mine self destructed a couple of weeks ago, and it can make a bit of a mess
