gearbox help

hi,
maybe a stupid question but will this fit onto a 2.5n/a engine? does'nt matter if engine needs moving or anything, just if they will fit together and run?

If you tells the serial numbers you might get an answer

yes but some of the bell housing bolts/studs wont align but more than enough will, it might be better to convert to defender gear stick
