Hello,
As some of you know from the defender section i have undergone a galvanized chassis swap for my 1995 300tdi Defender 90...
just got it back on friday and have driven 50 miles in it, then my gearbox packs in so i have no drive, managed to roll it down a hill into a space.. later notice i have several leaks underneath and steering pump leak. then the AA towed me to the garage to which the chassis swap was done. They're looking at it now, i can tell they're going to claim its not there fault or any problems weren't caused by them.. The gearbox was fine and no leaks before they did the swap. Where do I stand on this? What would you do if they say its my fault and try and lump me with the massive bill?
thanks

how do you know its gear box failure and not another issue , did you try high/low lever ,in diff lock etc, pas pump may well be loose pipe

Yeah i played around with the diff lock.
Well i did some checks and when i try and get into gear i get a loud buzzing noise, the garage said the its the gearbox as well as the AA.

its possible ,did it get filled with oil? but there are many other things ask to see fault once in pieces ,did it clunk taking up drive prior

I'm not sure i assume it will have! it was clunking when i was changing gears often but didn't really take notice to this
