gear & transfer boxes in Land Rover 90 - 2.5 N/A

hi all
is it possible to fit on my 12J a gear box and a transfer box from a 2002 Discovery? I think the different ratios will not bother me much :-(
The parts are free anyway, from my wife's wrecked disco so i was just wondering :confused2:

The gearbox will be too long unless I am mistaken

The disco if series 2 the speedo drive is ommited on transfer box as abs supplying speed.
Depending on tranfer box some series 2 disco no center diff lock.

If center diflock stub is there the box can easily be converted to speedo drive

You'll probably find the old 12J isn't torque-y enough for the gearbox either. I'd go for a complete 200Tdi conversion, TB and GB too.

even though the the box and t/f box you have are free the parts needed to do the conversion are costly….

over £350. if i remember correctly
