Morning all,

Im quite new to off roading and a newbie to here, can some one help please.

my N/A deisel 110 can now only drive whilst the diff lock is selected - (she drives fine in either hi or low range with diff lock). when I try and select normal hi or low range she wont drive, this only happened after a bit of off roading yesterday.

Hope you can help, thanks in advance!

cheers

Tom

Yep, I agree or it could be a drive member - it's what attaches the half shaft to the wheel.

i know dat - just sayin it mite be summat else - apologies fur iggerant postings

surely tho - similar prob - i cud only drive in 4wd - coz rear diff shot?

Hi all

Thanks for the mega rapid response/diagnostics!

There was no loud noise as such when I drove back, there was an occasional "clunk" when changing gears but this only happened sometimes..

Would you have any idea of a ball park figure to sort this
eg parts/labour <crige>

Once again cheers!!

Tom

Driving in difflock will not harm as the vehicle is in 2wd anyway and needs the CDL to be locked in order to go at all. The question is "which two wheels are not driving?" And then "Why not?" The answer could be cheap like a broken half shaft or stripped drive member or a broken CV joint in the front. Or it could be expensive like a bust diff. It can't be a broken prop shaft cos you would have realised that by now ....
