I recently had a Lovato Gas/Diesel system installed onto my Td5 and whilst I am very pleased with its improved performance and economy (8.2 Lt /100 Km towing 1425kg van on the flat) I have noted that on two occassionsthe transmission has reverted to "Limp home mode" when I have quickly accelerated up one of the local hills. The situation is quickly overcome by pulling over and turning the engine off ..the LHM resets itself and off we go. providing I dont gun it up a hill everything is fine.
My service provider says its because the torque converter sensor now detects that there is more than 400Nm at the torque convertor and LHM comes into play. Has anybody else experieinced this with similar Gas/diesel conversions on Td5's. i intend to take the issue up with the supplier who I might add is fantastic and very helpful but i though I would seek other views and experiences beforehand.
