Hey guys,
I brought a second hand galvanised roof rack for my 90, but it just seems to have holes to bolt through onto the sills where all the other galvanised ones I've seen use clamps. Could there be a chance that I'm missing the clamps or is this just an older one?

By the way, it was bolted onto the previous defender, but still reckoned it was worth asking incase its a part that could have been misplaced at some point.

Got any pics? It could be either a bolt on one or one with seperate clamps.

will get some piccies in a bit, have just found a pic of another galv rack that is a bolt on one so I'm thinking that its not missing any parts. Although saying all this I'll be happy to bolt the thing on granted it weighs so much, don't like the thought of it coming loose!!

When you fit it, put the bolts in from the bottom with the nut and excess thread on top, or else the thread may hit the doors when opened!

bad idea, always fit bolts such that if the nut come off then gravity won't make it fall out

bolt head on top, correct bolt length and a nylock nut n washer

....... unless you've only got 3'' long bolts and you don't want to shorten them and you don't mind yer rack jumping off the roof at 60MPH
