Hi yall.
New to this series stuff. Just got my 1961 SWB petral and the fule guage has a real mind of it's own. I never expected it to be acurate but. It read full thismorning. Put £30 in and now it says emptey. Any idear?

Temp guage also a miss. Hawever I notice that the temp sensor in the frunt of the block has no cable. Do I just need to run a cable from this to the guage?

the temp gauge would work better with a wire from the guage to the sender. check if one is in the loom first.

it is possible that the Voltage Regulator is shot - get a digital one off ebay - cheap as chips - or buy one yoself - or pm me.

You should have 2 wires to the guage, one to the sender and the other goes to a 10v regulator, you can put a multimeter on both sides of the temp guage to the chassis, one side should read 10 volts with the ignition on.
The fuel guage problem could be a knacked sender, inside the float sender unit there is a wirewound track, a wiper rubs up and down this connected to the float, this track sometimes breaks, meaning that above a certain fuel level the guage reads zero, sound familiar.

there is still no sine of the parts i am wating for for my most7n so looks like i have all weekend on the landy.

will be going over everything i can making lists of wat needs doing. allso picking up a webber tomorrow as i canot get this zenith to run well. fabd a stereo holder in work today so thats another job.
