Hi all

I'm desperate to get my cruise control working there are no cracked pipes on the control unit under the bonnet. Nothing is happening when i press the button on the steering wheel?

Was wondering if anyone knew or has a handbook/workshop manual that could tell me which fuse it is?

Thanks

Brian

P.S. Car is 97 4.6 HSE

Have a look at fuse 17 (10amp) located on side of BECM below drivers seat (RHD models)-it also serves brake light circuit, so if they are working problem could be elsewhere, e.g. cruise control relay or invertor which are located below the instrument panel, just to the right.
There is a checking procedure on RAVE which is downloadable from this site if you do a search.

Have downloaded the rave stuff, but haven't found anything on it for cruise control. Fuse is ok will check relays

Open RAVE, go to "Electrical Troubleshooting",click on the "+" sign to open a drop down menu, scroll down to B5 Cruise control, that will give description of system. Then scroll to page 67, this gives the troubleshooting procedure and as you scroll to the following pages it will show various checks and pinouts together with eventual cause of the problem.

I have RAVE on CD and that needs Adobe.
The software on here is, I think, what used to be available from GreenStuff, in which case (From memory) I think it needs Alcohol 120.
You have jogged my aged memory Sirius-about time I had a dose of Alcohol 120!!
