P38A Fuse box repair

He we go, started on another fuse box repair. This is Pete's fb. It has the usual relay 7 burn out but also some water damage and a lot of dry joints/bad solder connections. All the pillars were also cracking at the board.
Extensive resoldering required and iv reinforced the circuit board on a couple of places.

That will keep you busy during lockdown Dave.

It's all pretty much fixed now a couple of hours soldering and fixing the circuit board in a couple of places it's as good as new and future proofed.
Just got the clean up the relay clamps and reassemble.
That's tomorrows jobs you go a bit fuzzy eyed staring at a board for that long.

Any ideas why that relay 7 burns out on so many occasions

Relay 6 and 7 control left and right blower motors, so they draw a lot of current . It's worth checking your pollen filters arnt blocked as this can causing the overheating.
