Hi,

Had an accident with my 1996 P38 Rangie a while back and am trying to putn it back together.
This are the problems am facing.

The two front electronic windows will not wind up or down.
The cental lock is not working anymore.
The two front sits can no longer be adjusted.(they are memory sits)
The light in the instrument cluster does not come on, so can not see the reading at night.
The Hevac panel light is on but it is blank.

Have been able to raise the windows by connecting it directly to the battery to prevent the rains from going in.
The message center keeps on giving Fuse failure for fuse 8,9,10,22
Am thinking its a Relay problem, but cant identify the relays controlling the failures.

All these problems are more than likely down to poor connections. Previous advice is good but I would also include the main fuse box in the engine bay. There is a train of thought that these should be changed after 10 years or so. I don't think they are too expensive either, last time I looked they where about £90 all in Inc fuses.

Check all the becm perimeter plugs are fully home, the earth & three positive cables are attached & all are receiving power with ignition on.

If all these are ok then the becm has failed 100%.

in my limited opinion , and after realising DO NOT GET YOUR CARPETS VALETED !!!! your becm is the main reason for gremlins in the electric department . I had to remove my becm remove carpets let dry outover 2 days , replaced and all worked fine . Any moisture in there is a nightmare for all your electics
