Fuel tank sender resistance

My fuel gauge does not work. The needle stays below zero even when the tank is full.
What are the resistance values (full/empty) for the tank sender?

err not sure, but if you getting continuety with the meter at full tank it'd be working wouldn't it.

Good thump on dash sometimes gets results.
 
Fixed it today. Potentiometer in tank sender dislocated, probably by ham-fisted previous owner. Resistance values: Full: 0 ohms, empty: 120 ohms.
