fuel starvation

hi being too lazy to filter my veg oil this week I actually bought 25 litres of bio from the local bio producer.all went well untill final 40 miles of my 250 mile journey. I promptly replaced the fuel filter when it started to die on me.It was a little better and i managed to limp it home.I suspect the sedimenter is chocked.Is there also a tank strainer to clean as well? It usually runs80wvo 20 derv with no issues what de ye think.Many thanks Allan its a 300 tdi

u sure its not just air in the filter ?
did u prime it before tightening it back up to make sure there was no more air coming out of the top of the filter

no air in system filter bled using electric lift pump fitted for ease of bleeding and for use of veg oil
