hi all

this is my first post here... so firstly Hello!

i have just purchased a 2005 110 TD5 double cab pick up... and i am hooked ... i love it ...but just looking at improving things a little

i am sure this question always comes up but i was just wondering what you lot think about saving fuel ,, any ideas ... Remap , better air filter etc,

Road tyres, no light bar, no roof rack, no crap in the back, drive sensible and...um...I failed on all of them bar the roof rack, and on the recent lanes trip I averaged 15.9 mpg:eek: thats a 200tdi! This week I aim to improve on that now.it's my daily commute :D

will this cause any problems when it has an mot with the emissions

Fit a front spliter and aero package, remove roof with grinder, replace TDI with a battery pack.....its a frigging landy......please tell me you did not buy it because it had great MPG!!??? Oh, and welcome

of course i didnt by it for MPG ... lol ... but if a tweek here and there can save a couple of quid with out effecting how it drives , then seems silly not too ... ??

makes it even more fun to drive !

Do a search for a post called "Sluggish Disco" which runs you through how to tune the injector pump. That will make her go like a stabbed rat and some swear that it imporves MPG but for me it just made me drive like a holligan and enjoy the power too much!
