hi just fitted my tuning box today, the plug that fits to the sensor is missing and the 3 wires just pushed in
can anyone tell me the correct way the wires go colour wise from top to bottom
will it run if the wires are the wrong way round
also has any one got a spare plug with a small amount of wire attached so i can solder a plug back on
thanks in advance

If you bought it new from Rover Ron give him a ring and get it sorted - I wouldn't mess with pushing wires etc in as it could cause damage if you were belting along and they came out or shorted to earth - there is a ECU at the other end looking for an opportunity to self destruct.

hi just fitted my tuning box today ..

is the tuning box a 'synergy 2a' ?

if so .. i've photos of the connections / wiring colours .. from a '56 reg td4

( i got to hit the road just now ..
( will post photos later
( i.e if it's the 'synergy 2a' your installing

btw: in rr's instruction leaflet .. he states .. that getting it wrong ..
" the warning light will come on, the engine won't rev or will stick at 1500 rpm "

no its a tunit box.
oh :)

ok .. am just messing with the photos ..
at least they will show plug/socket orientation ..
might help figure which wire goes where

although .. might depend on the wire color coding used in 2004
the wires from my 2006 ecu to the sensor are:
brown / blue / white .. top to bottom on the sensor

half way down on this .pdf
it shows what the wires do on that fuel pressure device
( i.e. it's a solenoid .. not a sensor )

back in a bit ..

think ive made some sense of that what ill do is go to the scrappy in the morning and get a plug with some wire off a freelander bmw or rover 75 and soler them on thanks again s.m.

pic thumbnails .. right to left

1 .. the green arrow points to the rectangular protusion that's
on the opposite side to the traingular ramp / push-clik thing

brown / blue / white .. plug / wires on right of pic .. is what normaly plugs into the fuel solenoid
( ignore the left socket-wires .. those are from the synergy tuning box )

~~~~~~~~~~
2 .. the green arrow points to the same rectangular protusion
on the fuel solenoid ..
( so push-clik mechanism on opposite side )
pic obviously taken from above :)
( ignore wire colors .. as that's again from the synergy box )
~~~~~~~

hope that helps .. and doesn't confuse things further ..
although if wires are diff colors on your ecu wire .. it may be for nowt :-/
