Fuel Quantity Actuator fault

Fortunatly I managed to sorce a working second hand one that to this day still works !

The sites that say reconditioned have had new seals and internals adjusted and the acuators tested but! They are not new and can wear at any point after that's why as in the ones you put in the link are exchange recons

Time served mechanic quite a lot of it on diesels. Rebuilt injection pumps, refurbished and tested lots of injectors. Does that help.
 
You might of replaced a few seals here and there but on times of the present specialists cleaning and testing equipment is needed as for actuator ,

Yea you join in side kick as I said earlier when you asked its magnets and its not changed on a refurb simples really when gets knackerd and you need it fixed your find out or are you an injection pump specialist to anorak
 
I've no problem just don't like know it all's and peeps that like to put there. 2 Penrith in for no reason . But other than that all is dandy :) :)

What you really mean is you don't like being corrected when you spout crap. You put some very misleading posts on here. Either know what you are on about or keep quiet.

Alternator shallow groves are like rocking horse s...t what about the crank pulley that is the driving force of a belt yes I've change subject but making a point of your accusations you ain't perfect either and it seems since I corrected you some where ages ago you too can't seem to take Criticism either


Newspaper in the fan the bloke the other day could not get any joy of your method you and side kick say don't take fan off it will boil misleading

Knock the vicious fan of with a cold chisel instead of getting a spanner and holding tool becuase it tight not good wacking the shaft on the water pump is it

So my point is superior machanical expert your not so perfect

Worn grooves in alternator pulleys are a well know problem. Maybe not to you but to people who have experienced them they are. As for the other things i am not going to argue with someone of little practical knowledge because you just don't understand. Yes there are prim and proper ways of doing things and there are tricks of the trade used as last resort. A cold chisel and hammer are not the first things you would pick up to remove a viscous fan. But they are sometimes the only thing that will work. The cheap **** off Ebay is as useful as tits on a Mars bar most of the time. The spanner will just open it's gap and slip off with most of them. Or like you think that the fuel quantity servo mimics the throttle potentiometer on the diesel. Well it doesn't. Do you know why that is? You don't even grasp the reasons a diesel specialist will sell you a new??? pump for £1000.00 fitted instead of repairing it for £150.00. The pump you had fitted would most likely have been a refurbished one, new pumps are nearer to the two grand mark or more depending where you get them. Without fitting. You try hard to be a top tech but you are way out of your depth.

you see off you go again I'd like to see some one get a pump reconditioned for a £150 read back wammers. It was (my)pump that I had repaired but the electrics they don't fix they get new ones that's what I've tried explaining but you know everything a new one in a bosh box maybe it is
reconditioned by them ( Bosch) but it has a brand new top! Unlike refurbished ones ! From mail order or if you exchange yours or even get an injection pump Specialist to do it.Tell me a garage that does Servicing and repairs even main dealers that repair modern injection pumps I think not they get sent to people who can! A photo so people can see what we are on about here

Why should he not do that? It is one of the few additives that has a track record of success. Sticking valve blocks are a known problem in automatic boxes. I have stripped and clean many to return the box to working order. Short of doing that, which is far beyond the scope of the average home mechanic, Lucas can free the block off and give good results. It cannot turn a sows ear into a silk purse, but it can certainly if applied soon enough prevent a sows ear from developing.
