fuel pump

Hi all

So I put a new fuel tank on my 110 2.5 petrol, put in back together now it wont start. I dont hear the fuel pump on II. Any ideas on what it could be, Im hoping it can be diagnosed before dropping the tank again?

Assuming it was working before and nothing silly like fuse blown due to shorting when installing, guessing one of the wires has either cracked or a connector has come off

Might be worrth using a probe to check power to the wiring (by piercing the cable insulation) as close as you can get to the pump without needing to drop the tank

Yes it was working prior, fuses are ok.

Im correct in thinking I should hear the pump regardless if there is enough fuel in the tank ?( the pump doesnt have a cut off if not in fuel?) I have a round 6 litres in there but dont want to put more in if I have to drop the tank again.
