Hi All,

Some may recall a thread of mine about not revving over 3/3500 RPM recently, and it was solved by fuel pump replacement.

All was fine up until Friday evening and the thing started to whine. Noticeably even when driving not just on idle. And also over the radio all be it turned down quite a bit.

I did, due to budget constraints, fit a cheap after market pump.

Are these cheap pumps generally noisy buggers or is it on its way out once again. Only been on 3/4 weeks

TIA

I will agree to sierraferry
but also fuel pump whine is a cause of injector seals (combustion washers) or a blocked fuel filter /blocked pick up /blocked gause inside the head ..so without any fuel pressure readings ..do the obvious and cheapest things first ..

I would be removing the fuel filter and inspect the media for blackness or carbon ..is so means combustion gasses is entering your fuel system

More or less due a service so will have a look when I do that, already have a replacement fuel filter rattling around the boot will update shortly
