Hi,

My 1972 Series 3 5MB diesel fuel pump is dripping diesel out from somewhere under the pump.
Guess I need a reconditioned pump...can someone recommend a place where they've had this done recently please?

Google seems to show dozens of companies offering to rebuild diesel pumps, hard to choose.

Mine got into a terrible state and I ended up wrapping the whole unit it towels and zip ties and hot footing it to a local workshop called Jaglander, about five miles out of Exeter. The prognosis was not good but it was taken out, packed off to Exeter Electro-Diesel on Sowton Industrial Exeter, refurbished and refitted without further drama. They did my injectors and associated bits and pieces as well. I would love to do more myself but we are restricted to street parking and much of the time these days nowhere near my house.
I am not sure what the timeline will be as Jaglander are going to angle grind off and replace the two front hangers, hopefully that’s as far as they go, but the lead-in time will be about six weeks. Several local workshops/garages have closed down so finding someone around here is getting harder but the service from both has been top drawer.
