Hi I'm having trouble with my disco td5 it just stopped running the fuel pump was very noisy so changed it and filter but sounds like air in it when egnition on starts after a while but sounds rough. Any ideas. Please.

replace the air bleed valve in the rear wheel side port of the filter WJN500110 then purge again...if still no joy it might be the injector washers

Had pretty much the same problem - Replaced fuel pump, Replaced fuel filter housing, No real improvement. Eventually got the injector washers done. Sorted!

Sorry took so long to update but I've been busy aswell as trying to sort car. I have put new injector harness on ,a return valve on fuel filter , fuel pump, air flow sensor. Car is running but struggling to start from cold but ok when warmed up any ideas. ?

Two posts back, before you start it from cold run a purging sequence on it: ignition on II, push the throttle 5 times consecutively then wait untill the engine warning stops flashing, if after that starts easy do the injector washers/seals, if not make sure the glow plugs are good,

Before I changed my injector seals, mine was a pig to start, cut out after idling for 5-10 mins.
Then needed a fuel purge to re-start.
So as Sierrafery says, if it starts after a purge, its 99% injector seals.
Start your fuel purge, then go and make a cup of tea! Leave it at least 5-10 mins before starting.
Also double check your oil level! But it sounds like the copper fire seals rather than the O rings.
A decent garage will do them for not a lot of money, its an hours work. BUT be careful if they start making comments like "ahh its your injectors mate...etc"!

Cheers for that mate. I did purge it properly and started first turn it was slightly ropy but kept running.
