Well it has been a while since I logged in and although every one was great just thought I would let you know that after months of trying to fix my gearbox I had to get a new one as the torque converter was in pieces. Add to that new airbags/fuel pressure regulator/new injector seals and I am becoming very frustrated!!
Now I have a new problem, after replacing the fuel pressure regulator I have discovered a leak in the fuel pipe that goes from the regulator to the front of the block behind the intake manifold.
In Oz mechanics run and hide once you mention Land Rover, so I am having trouble ordering the part (the correct name?) and finding anyone in South Australia who even knows how to replace it.

Thanks in advance Brian

Hi, i dunno what kind of Disco u have 10P or 15P engine(if it's a Td5 as i suppose) .......are u talking about this one? LAND ROVER DEFENDER TD5 FUEL REGULATOR LINK PIPE on eBay (end time 17-Aug-10 16:36:12 BST) ........anyway, to get rid of these kind of problems(i mean finding part numbers or names) downlad Microcat from here(at the bottom of page)The Green Oval - Downloads | Land Rover Data and it will require your VIN then there are exploded diagrams with any part u need....there is the user guide too above if u have probs.......make certain u order he good bit.......u can download the proper RAVE too to see how u can get off the FPR to replace the link.......i understand how it is when nobody knows what's what on a Landy ....happened to me too so i've spent 2 years to read forums and workshop manuals just to be able to do it myself......but i was always a tool-friendly guy;)

if u can hold a spanner then u wont need a mechanic, it's quite simple to replace.

Thanks again guys, downloaded the Rave identified the pipe sent photo and one is on its way.
I tell everyone about this forum if they need help .....as I said getting any sense from a mechanic in SA about a Land Rover is like pulling teeth...........has to be a Holden or a Falcon.
Sorry I cannot help others on the forum as I am not smart enough but great you guys are out there.
Thanks Brian
