Fuel Pipe cost, you wont believe it!!!

This morning, found, disco would not start, trid to jump start no luck, noticed tank light on. Strange, stuck £40 of fuel in it last night.

Saw hole in pipe work underneath. The rubber pipe that runs from the filler pipe, into tank. Now to replace this..... How much.....????? Someone had stuck knife in and fuel had been stolen!!!!!!!!!!

Have a guess!!!!!!! You have too!!!

Also does anyone have a spare one of these please???

Flipping heck, 2 Landrover dealers and two land rover specialists are looking for somewhere in the region of £500 and it is only that bit of rubber pipe required. Trouble is I was fair distance from home tried to find one from the local dealer to where I was and my own dealer and also tried the two specialists and then put it through my NFU insurance!!! All for a couple of thieving bastards having about £50 of fuel!!!!

But thanks for you link, will order one and bung it in spares box for if it happens again!!!

i had a pipe issue just replace from the sender to the lift pump bypass the sedimentor cost about a tenner

I woulda repaired it with rescue tape and then gone on to find a replacement at a decent price without it requiring the same urgency that forces us to spend over the odds on something that should cost only a fraction of the price when we have time on our side.
