Fuel Leak

Hi All,

I have a 1998 3.9ltr V8i Disco 1, I have a small fuel leak from the pipe off the fuel filer, please see the image attached.

I have had a feel along the pipe and its only a section of it thats is damaged, is it possible to cut out the damaged section of the pipe and replace it as apposed to removing the entire pipe.

If the line was cut and I managed to get some replacement line, what could I use to re-join them.

After doing some poking around on the net, I discovered that you can buy unleaded fuel hose on ebay for a few quid and use that to replace the metal hose.

Looks like i'm gunna be busy this Wednesday, I have a half day off roading experience my wife got me for Christmas and in the afternoon working on the Disco.
