Got a 2003 L322 TD6

Driving today and got "Fuel Injection System Error" on the dash and the car cut out and now won't start

Left it for a few hours and went back same thing car turns over fine but fails to start constant message on the dash.

put a code reader into it and came back with the following 3 codes
Fuel rail pressure plausibility
Pre-fuel pressure control
Fuel pressure monitoring while starting

The fuel pump under the rear passenger wheel was changed around 2 years ago. (i have noticed it was really loud after being replaced but it worked, so I've just ignored it)

Been reading up on this and think it might be the fuel pump in the back but not sure. Can anyone give advice on what it might be or any common issues I am unaware of? thanks

Check for flow to the fuel filter....and also get it on some diagnostics that can read the pre-supply fuel pressure, should be in the region of 2.75 to 3.5 bar as a minimum for the HP pump to get good enough flow to boost rail pressure....

Also, ifthe fuel filter is blocked, this can reduce pre-supply pressure.

Going to get it recovered home today will change the fuel filter and 2 of the fuel pumps.

ever since it broke down the fuel pump is not as loud and sounds as if its struggling going to replace it again just to make sure.

are the green relays in the back all the same could i use any of them to test the fuel pump relay?

Have you checked that the in tank pump is working, it transfers fuel from one side of the tank to other so if fuel is low you might not get any at pick up.

Blocked/dirty injectors can cause fuel rail pressure faults as well. As the Saint says, a fuel rail pressure reading could help or a simple leak test. But if it won't start...
@Saint.V8 , do these have an in tank pump prime when the ignition is turned on ?

Both the ITP and the Inline Pump will run with ignition on and during cranking....flow can be checked at the fuel filter under the bonnet to check to see if there is flow from these to the filter...
