Hi everyone
I'm recently new to strange and frustrating place that is freelander ownership
(Mines a 2.0 td4 auto), any way my problem is my hippo starts and runs fine until it gets up to temperature then the fun starts she runs fine when your foot is on the gas but slowing down and coming to a stop especially when your sat at the lights or creeping on the break the revs drop and she starts to shudder and splutter take it out of drive and put it in neutral she does the same and then dies she will start up again straight away and every other day or so she will do the same when parked up ideling she just coughs shakes and dies. I've replaced the MAF, cam position sensor and the temp sensor in the intercooler pipe I've removed the plug from the fuel rail and ran at idle for 20 mins or so and she is smooth as silk I've replaced the plug and drove round for a good hour and she was good as gold left it a few hours went out again and still coughing and juddering when under load at idle and when in neutral at idle any ideas or advice please.

have you changed the fuel filter air filter, oil breather filter, plus the turbo vent filter ? if you look on the home page skinny mike has posted a youtube vid showing the location of the oil breather filter and turbo vent filter.

You could use a diagnostic tool on it, looking for logged codes. Also it's well worth looking at the live data, particularly if it's messing around. You need to know what the low pressure fuel pump figure is as well as the high pressure fuel pump and the MAF signal too.
