Hoping someone knows the answer, I need to replace the seal that sits inbetween the inner and outer tube on the fuel filler. The fuel cap seats on this. You'll see there's part of the seal in the pic.

I can't find this seal on exploded drawings. Can anyone help?

Thanks. I've got the same ones and can't see the seal that sits down inside the filler tube. Think I'll just knock something up to seal it.

It looks like the extension tube is in side? Is it a o ring that just stops it rattling about?

Now I've looked at it on a larger pc screen I think you're correct as it looks nothing like mine. Does the 'tube' in the middle move at all? (Look at the second image) If so pull the thing out completely.

When I asked about the sort of Defender I meant as in ex MOD as they used to have tubes fitted to help when filling up from jerry cans

+1 it looks like a jerry can spout. Quite useful because they have a gauze filter on the bottom but no need for a seal between it and the main filler tube.
