Fuel Filler release Switch

Can anyone help? The button on my my fuel cap release switch on my P38 has collapsed any ideas?

you will need a new on, ebay, or scrappy, you will be able to open it from inside your boot..

I think if you look in your manual it tells you how to release the fuel cap from inside the boot.

and I think you need a new switch

i had mine fall apart as i was about to fill up i manged to get the switch out and there was some terminals on the lower part what went inside the casing and i touched a wire on them and it opened the flap it got me out of trouble till the new switch turned up

Mine went too. What happened was that the actual push switch seemed to slip down into the dash.
Took off valance , pushed it back into place : did same again. Jammed a bit of foam rubber under it as a temp support until I got a new switch.
That was 6 months ago and its still in place and works a treat.
