fuel filler cap recess any difference in sizes

have just bought a piece of chequer plate to put in the fuel filler cap recess but its way to small its for a td5 90 and mine is a 2.5td 90 but was told it would fit.is there a difference in sizes?..ta

dont know if there is a diff in size, but the pre TD5 fillers are next to the drivers door (to fill tank up which is under your seat) whilst TD5 fillers are at the back (to fill the tank up under by the rear x member). maybe they tidied things up a little on the TD5 when they made the change? take it back and ask for a diff one... or yours has been butchered

The td5 is different, the filler neck is smaller(and made of plastic) and therefore the hole in the panel is smaller.

You need the one for your year!
